As one walks along in the journey called life
one wishes to have known better when we were born
the conditions and the contracts that pre-determines who we are
So one can choose their ideal destiny
rather than bear the agony of their upbringing, religion, politics, and society...
now that we have gained consciousness, the very place we called home
have made us a weak link to this big world
and we make mistakes out of curiousity of what our conditions have warned us not to do and we continue to create a chaotic world of what we've witnessed in our own eyes
to make one worse, everyone else is dealing with the same damn thing
which provide one no help except to make another poor decision
to find another mistake to make the pain less painful from the one before
it's called "pain killers"
so take another one to numb your pain
maybe someday the numbness will be permanent
so it'll be easier to lay down and rest

After a while, you learn the subtle difference
Between holding a hand and chaining a soul,
And you learn that love doesn't mean leaning
And company doesn't mean security,
And you begin to learn that kisses aren't contracts
And presents aren't promises
And you begin to accept your defeats
With your head up and your eyes open
With the grace of a woman, not the grief of a child,
And you learn to build all your roads on today
Because tomorrow's ground is too uncertain for plans.
And futures have a way of falling down in midflight.
After a while, you learn...
That even sunshine burns if you get too much.
So you plant your own garden and decorate your own soul,
Instead of waiting for someone to bring you flowers.
And you learn that you really can endure...
That you really are strong.
And you really do have worth.
And you learn and learn...
With every goodbye you learn.
