MOVIE GALORE.
I must've been on a movie streak last week because I was also able to watch WATCHMEN @ IMAX. I was able to enjoy watching it with Kuya Erwin and my little brother, Clinton. So, bonding time was good... I think. Couldn't really tell from all that talking we had (enough sarcasm?) I must agree with the most people about how the movie was. The graphics and all was cool but the story line I was a little out of the loop. On the other hand, I can't really say too much about it because I was not able to read the actual novel. It is on my next to do list. Yep.
Afterwards consisted of me dropping them off at home then drove to Renton to pick up my mom, which she insisted on watching the tagalog movie YOU CHANGED MY LIFE (a sequel movie to A VERY SPECIAL LOVE that played last year) with Sarah Geronimo & John Lloyd Cruz. I gotta admit, I wanted to watch it too since we saw the first movie. (Tangent, Sarah Geronimo is coming here in Seattle for a concert in April 3, 2009!)
VENOM IS THE NEW SUGAR?
Couple of years back, there was Sugar Nightclub around Capitol Hill that was free entrance for girls every Friday. It was ultimately shut down because of a shooting. More recently, the girls and I have been going to Venom... free valet parking, free pass, no waiting in line, and get shit face. It's been pretty effin' fun though.
WASL (Washington Assessment of Student Learning)
Next week, I guess is the week for some students to be taking WASL. In this case, my brother is taking them next week. I'm not sure about Gerald. So, for my understanding... they have to pass the actual test to be able to graduate. Ok. But somehow, my brother and I got to talking and wondering why only public schools are the ones being tested? What about the private schools? (Like....) Besides that, if a student fails to pass the test... why does that solely be the base of them graduating? Or put upon the student? Isn't the teachers who are teaching has something to do with it too? Not to say that I'm residing of either or I'm an expert when it comes to debates like this. I'm just utterly confuse as how they have measured and see if this would actually work. At the same time, what IS the "right" way?
